Presenter: Dr. Gina Forrest, MPH Gina Forrest

Dr. Gina Forrest is a native Hoosier and wants to make Indiana a more inclusive, healthier and happier state! She has earned a MPH and a PhD in Health Behavior from Indiana University - Bloomington. Gina has been in the field of training and facilitating discussions in the areas of diversity, inclusion, equity and cultural awareness for some time, having her own business, Consulting Services with Gina, LLC. In addition, she has several years of experience in the public health field where her expertise is in grant management, conducting needs assessments, program planning, and evaluation.  She has taught college-level courses at Butler University and Indiana University.                                                                                                                                          Currently, she is the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Butler University. 

Let’s stop using microaggressions

In this session, participants will learn to identify microaggressions and learn ways to modify their speech to avoid causing negative harm to those you're speaking with.

Learning Objectives:
-Define the terms micro aggressions
-Identify ways to respond to micro aggressions
-Explore the outcomes associated when someone experiences microaggressions
