The Indiana Rural Health Association (IRHA) invites individuals with an interest in rural health to submit concurrent session proposals for presentation at IRHA’s 29th Annual Conference, scheduled for June 22–23, 2027, at the French Lick Springs Resort and Conference Center.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the relevance of the topic to rural health and the speakers' knowledge and expertise. The IRHA Annual Conference Speaker Committee will make the final selection of concurrent session presentations.
As a nonprofit organization, IRHA does not provide speaker honoraria. All selected presenters are required to register for the conference, but will receive a 60% discount on the standard registration fee, bringing the speaker registration rate to $200. Presenters are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.
The Call for Educational Proposals process provides IRHA members and experts in rural health the opportunity to share timely and relevant information with conference attendees. The 2027 conference will feature a keynote speaker, plenary session, and concurrent breakout sessions for deeper exploration of rural health issues.
IRHA is especially interested in sessions that showcase:
- Successful cross-sector collaborations
- Innovative projects and emerging technologies
- Replicable rural-specific initiatives that overcome barriers and show best practices
These topics help equip rural communities with practical tools, resources, and best practices to build sustainable healthcare systems, improve community health outcomes amid economic challenges, and strengthen advocacy at the local, state, and federal levels.
Submission information and general instructions:
- Breakout sessions will last 60 minutes.
- One biographical paragraph should be completed for each presenter.
- The completed form must be submitted no later than November 30, 2026.
- Submissions will be selected by the IRHA Annual Conference Speaker Committee in January.
- Benefits for breakout session presenters include the opportunity to share your expertise with a large, engaged audience, increased visibility for your topic, and the chance to be part of an outstanding conference experience. Further details will be provided upon notification of acceptance.
- Presenters will provide their own laptops.
- LCD projectors will be provided by IRHA.
- Conference registration, travel, and lodging expenses are not reimbursed for breakout session presenters.
