Advocating for 1M Hoosiers

Did you know about One Million Hoosiers live and work in rural areas and small cities of Indiana?

This figure includes:

  • Multiple thousands of people in small businesses, manufacturing, technology, education, and other industries and services
  • Thousands of Hoosier families

Indiana public health

IRHA is a major supporter of public health initiatives. Our CEO, Cara Veale, recently served on the Indiana Governor’s Public Health Commission, whose recommendations were considered and implemented by the Indiana General Assembly, providing funds for county health departments to improve access to essential services. The FY 2023-24 appropriation for local public health is $75M. For FY 2024-25, the appropriation is $150M. The total is $225M over the biennium.

We hope you’ll consider joining us as we conduct and support this vital work for one million Hoosiers. Become an IRHA member today, or donate here.
