Indiana Rural Schools Clinic Network
The Indiana Rural Schools Clinic Network (IRSCN) is a formal network of rural health providers and school systems in the state of Indiana. IRSCN members are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of rural Indiana residents, particularly children 18 years and younger, by providing access to primary care school health clinics in rural Indiana and increasing rural access to telehealth services.
About the IRSCN
The Indiana Rural Schools Clinic Network (IRSCN) is a newly created collaborative partnership between the Indiana Rural Health Association, Rural Indiana Schools, Rural Healthcare Providers, and Managed Care Entities. In September 2016, the Indiana Rural Health Association was awarded a HRSA grant that provided the ability to fund telehealth equipment in participating IRSCN Schools.
Mission
The Mission of IRSCN is to improve the health and well-being of rural Indiana residents, particularly children 18 years and younger by developing a rural school-based clinic network by providing access to primary care school health clinics in rural Indiana and increasing rural access to telehealth services.
Purpose
To provide access to primary and behavioral care school-based health clinics in rural Indiana and increase rural access to telehealth services.
Value to Membership:
IRSCN will:
- Provide the equipment, training, and marketing necessary to implement a school-based telehealth clinic
- Provide technical assistance with the planning, development, and implementation of the school-based telehealth clinic
- IRSCN Membership requires:
- Dedication to improving the health of students in rural communities
- Participation in quarterly network calls
