Healthy Start Communities that C.A.R.E.
Through a grant from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration, the IRHA created the “Healthy Start Communities that C.A.R.E" (HSCC) program to combat high infant mortality rates. The HSCC provides confidential screening, support, referrals, treatment and education for expectant mothers, infants and families. The program has placed trained Perinatal Navigation teams to work one-on-one with residents in Bartholomew, Decatur, Greene, Jennings, and Switzerland counties.
